We all know the patent day to celebrate “Childhood” is Children’s Day. Childhood is perhaps the best part of anyone’s life as during this time most enjoy life to the fullest. Children don’t know what sorrow is, the harsh realities of time, the cruelty and struggle ahead in life. They go about being happy in their own merry world.

Childhood was the best part of our livelihood, everyone used to care for us, and we used to get whatever we wished from our parents and elders. We never imagined the struggle our parents did to fulfill our wishes. But today we understand the struggle, the harsh realities, the sorrow, and how hard it is to fulfill our wishes. When we were children we wished when we would be young, but today when we are young we wish we were children and enjoy life in peace, protection with lots of fun and frolic.

Children have the most craved characteristics –innocence, truth, mischief which at times leads to creativity, confidence, cheer and liveliness. If we too spend some time with children we tend to adapt their characteristics and become truthful and cheerful…To get back some of childhood characteristics, Mastiff celebrated Children’s day in an extraordinary way. Just to create fun in a simple way which everyone can enjoy, we gave each team-7 individuals each, modeling clay and asked them to make 3 animals using the clay in half an hour. Children like showcasing their talents, and so do our Mastiffians, we asked them to make 3 animals, but almost all teams did make 5-6 animals; which did had various themes in it… the animals made where also interesting J . The winners were gifted with children’s most liked thing….. 1^st winner – Biscuits and 2^nd Winner – Lollypop… everyone was amused to see the prizes…. The event helped us become childish, enjoy life and added a fun element in everyone’s life.

This celebration did help us all remember our commitment to our future generation. And indeed we pay a tribute to our leader; First Prime Minister of India- Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who in his quiet but determined way, laid the foundation to convert a nascent nation into a world power.

We can’t become children again, but at least let’s carry the childlike characteristic which would help us enjoy stress-free and fun-filled life…

Diwali/Deepavali is a festival celebrated by all the Indians across the globe – also called the “Festival of Light”, where the lights imply victory of good over the evil. On this day Hindus worship goddess Lakshmi - the goddess of wealth and Lord Ganesh - the God of auspicious beginnings for blessing them with all the best.

Worshiping god is through Puja, and when we say Puja the first thing that comes to mind is God, Puja’s thali, lamps and flowers. This main thing clicked the Diwali celebration at Mastiff and we derived a distinct way of celebration. Also, not disturbing everyone’s schedule of celebrating Diwali with family and friends, we planned our Diwali event in advance.

Mastiff organized a “Diya and Thali” decoration competition on 23^rd of October 2008 evening. The team was divided into equal groups and each group was given a Thali (Plate), Diya (Lamp), paints, Flowers, cotton and oil. They had to decorate the Diya with paints and then decorate a beautiful thali using Diya and other provided items.

The event started with bliss of karaoke singing getting everyone around for the event, where our clients to participated in the event. Later putting a hold on karaoke singing, the Diya and Thali competition started adding flowers, fragrance, lighting and joy to the atmosphere. Each group had their own style of decorated Diya and Thali. Each one was wonderful in some or other way. But ultimately competition had to be won by one…

Every employee was gifted with Sweet box wishing their coming days fill with the similar sweetness and lots of joy…. The celebration continued with karaoke singing adding zeal and spark to the event, and acting as an appetizer for the coming Diwali celebrations…

Also to grace Diwali celebration and thank God for its continuous support on 28th October 2008, we had organised Laxmi Puja in Mastiff premises.

Job Description:

1. Create visual designs for websites and web applications. While designing keep in mind the end- user who would actually use the product. Apply usability & accessibility during the design phase and also during the development phase to make the product usable & accessible. Create HTML & CSS. Validate them through W3C’s HTML/CSS validators.

2. Interact with clients to know their needs & requirements. Prepare time & resource estimates. Delegate tasks to team members.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Five to eight years experience practicing usability, developing products and services.
2. Strong understanding and practice of the fundamentals of social research and ethnography (human cultures)

4. Should possess Project Management skills - estimation, costing, resource management, client interaction etc.

Mastiff’s most awaited reason to celebrate, Mastiff completing its 4^th Year… Mastiffians just need a reason to celebrate, and they are all set to rock the party… but this indeed was the greatest reason to celebrate, Mastiff’s 4^th Anniversary, 13^th September. We did our best to make this day the most memorable and enjoyable day of the year…where everyone enjoys being part of Mastiff, forgetting their pains, regrets and nurtures into one team.

To get away from the hustle-bustle crowd, traffic, and busy work world, we wished to get refresh with a mystic treat. So, visiting a clean beautiful beach was the first option, after much research we landed on Kelva Beach Resort, which indeed had an arresting appeal. A beach and resort next sitting in natures lap, where the spaced out thick forest trees gazed the long untouched beach, and the resort offered a view to this beautiful mystic treat with bamboo huts, sleeping swings, calm and cool atmosphere with serene beach adjacent.

13^th September 2008 being Saturday-weekend, we decided to celebrate the anniversary one day in advance; so the plan was primed for 12^th September 2008 (Friday), also it helped all to take a good break from working day. Everyone agreed to join in, as per the plan. The beach is almost 3 hours from Mahape, the bus started from MBP picking people at various pick-up points after which the journey started moving through the spiraling ranges of Sahyadri Mountains. Everyone in the bus enjoyed shouting, screaming songs, having snacks to keep up our energies… the 3 and half hours where lost while we having fun and reached our destination Kelva Beach Resort. Also on the way, every Mastiffian’s were gifted with Mastiff’s T-shirt…

The Kelva Beach Resort was situated amid the fresh lotus lakes, ancient fortress and the long beaches, soothes body and mind. Its seaside atmosphere offers a complete solace, with a touch of laziness. The sight made all zealous.

Everyone was hungry and wanted to fill their stomach, so not wasting time we pounded on the breakfast, after which we had our anniversary celebration, where our respected Director (Mr. Tushar Vohra), said few words wishing every one Happy Anniversary and to the grace we cut our anniversary yummy cake enjoyed it…

Then started the real enjoyment, taking pleasure of the solace beach and the resort. No one would wait to get into water as the beach was so enthralling. Everyone enjoyed like kids, one was whole wet but still splashing water, pulling into water the ones who were not wet, beating the waves, jumping, swimming, it was so lovely…it seemed the beach is taking in all our worries/tensions with its waves. Some enjoyed lying in the sand, some enjoyed long walks on the calm beach over in all the scenic was breath-taking.

So, before we had lunch, we wanted to get clean …the best easiest and pleasant way was to get into the swimming pool… the water was much clean than the beach (ofcourse it dint had the sand J) Rats in stomach had started running, so we had to run for lunch, the lunch was delicious… and after so much fun and heavy lunch it was expected we take rest but no…we being very enthusiastic people dint waste even a single minute of joy…as their were unlimited options to enjoy…cricket, carrom, dance, badminton and many captured the moments… Few did have a sweet short nap on the sleeping swings… which adjoined the beach resort attractiveness…

But that was not the end, we did had something special to do in the evening… Karaoke Singing. Many enjoyed karaoke singing and others lay lazily sipping tea and enjoying the songs … The joyful day had tired everyone, so a cup of tea, pakoda, cool breeze, and soothing music just made the moment too memorable…

Everyone hoped time would stop and we could enjoy more… The beach and the resort were so alluring we craved for more time to spend in, but in dismay we had to leave…carrying joyful and pleasant moments… In bus few exited last seaters did enjoy and had more fun… others rested in peace… memorizing the day’s joyous moments… A true experience of tranquility for a soul stirring trip.

The 4^th Anniversary Day would be treasured along with the beach and resort adding delight to the event. We all wish Mastiff prosperity and growth as wide and infinite as the beach, providing immense joy to all explorers (Mastiffians) …
